Survival Technology

I think most survival games are premised on the human experience. The human is an animal who is poorly equipped to survive, naked and alone in almost any environment. So the typical survival sim depends on gathering, crafting, building and 'inventing'. Often the act of invention is abstracted into a tech tree or recipe unlocking mechanism.

On the other hand if bodies in this game are presumed to be well suited to their environment (say the way a barracuda is well suited to theirs) then it is hard to justify a complex crafting economy or tech tree. Bodies in this game are naturally safe from the typical elements in their home.

... but there are predators, there maybe pests and parasite.

... also there are seasons and climate chances and exotic biomes...

getting out/ or thrown out/ of the garden of eden is losing that state of natural adaptation. For what reward?
